Anyone here know of any good crossdrilled or slotted rotors for 97-03 F-150's? I'm thinking about changing my original rotors finally this spring. I want performance rotors, but nothing insane. I'm not looking to spends a $1000 on a brake setup. I just want a nice looking, decent performing pad and rotor. Not even sure it's worth paying the extra price for the slotted or cross drilling to be honest. That's why I'd like to know if anyone here's actually used them. yeah, ill see if i can get some pics of the 240 up here. it had intake, header, and exhaust. hawk pads and slotted rotors. running on 17 inch wheels
I bought my drilled/ slotted zink plated rotors with ceramic pads from brakemotives on ebay. 309.09 shipped to my door! I learned about them on another forum and after atleast a year people were saying they were doing great and I got a set. No problems so far, had them about 2 months. ^^Damn, $309 shipped is not bad at all! Looks like they have mine for $294 shipped. This may just be the route I go now.
I found it on a thread on F150online, watched the thread for 6 months before mine went out and decided to go for it. The only problem I have is when its cold outside they have a slight squeek the first 2 or 3 times I hit the them, after that no problems! Make sure you get the ones for your truck (4x4 or 2x4) Also the place has a great seller rating!
Hell my factory ones have done that since they were brand new back in 2002. It goes away by the time I'm usually pulling out of the driveway. If that's the only problem I can live with that. Do they stop better then the factory ones? How was the fitment of them? In other words were there any problems installing them that say a factory bad/rotor wouldn't have had?
