Funny thing is.Me and you have the same exact set up,and my ride quality is fine.No problem at all.N you should only experience bump steer going over bad bumps.Thats the only time i do.I would have to also say its something else with your truck as well.
well thanks for all the input guys....the alignment shop i go to is the same local place we trust our squad cars, ambulances, and fire trucks to go to...he also does alot of local farm trucks that have heavy duty susp components....maybe i need to take it in and have him just disect and go through everything again....something has to be up but its really driving me nuts that im the only one experiencing this...leveling kit i had before on a dodge ram caused no issues...now i know this is a truck and they ride rough naturally, but ive had several trucks and i think my 81 gmc with a solid front axle was softer! this truck before the level kit was a very good riding truck...
Yeah you gotta really go through everything... I put a 2.5" kit in my sisters 06 and she loves it! Says it rides and handles better
thats the next step i guess...have had it inspected but maybe my guy just blames it on the leveling kit and doesnt really look....who knows! ill be re torquing everything myself and taking it in for a full front end inspection and alignment...hope this works...if it doesnt ill be calling hbs, possibly one side could be out of spec...
I'd bank on that ....sometimes people don't really want to dig to find the real issue. They just want to turn the alignment out and wash there hands and go to the house....
yea im starting to think more and more that i have something not torqued enough or something is off not allowing a alignment to take...wish we werent getting 15-25 inches of snow over the next few days or id be out in the drive right now working on it!
Yeah man, Your Alignment guy is like 80% of mechanics out there. He sees that the leveling kit has been installed and quickly blames it on that part. What he is doing is thinking that since this part was installed and you are having issues in that area, its gotta be that part causing it. My advice is definitely get away as he can not, will not help you. Go to a 4 wheel drive center that specializes in lifts and such and tell them your issues. They will be much more inclined to listen and troubleshoot rather than say..."take that part off, it dont belong" Keep us updated as I had an 06 4x4 a few years ago and put the level on myself in my driveway. No problems at all. Ride didnt change hardly at all.
