ok so i noticed on my way to work this morning that my truck did not completely warm up, the heater was warm but not hot either. thinking my thermostat is bad, but open to other ideas and options. i have not looked under the hood at all, waiting till i get home and in the garage since it's a whole 1 degrees outside right now. any other thoughts or ideas?
Check and see if when you put fan speed on high if it gets cooler. If it gets cooler on the higher fanspeed, its prolly water pump. Thats wat mine ended up bein
no the heat stays the same. took it for a test drive at lunch and it seems like the thermostat was stuck. i tapped it a few times with the hammer and it seems to be working better, at least for now
yup sinnce you dont got fluid or smell in cab the heater core should be fine...they are know to rust threw the bottom though and thats where the stain will come from
update, well i drove it a little longer than normal for my drive home, i work really close to where i live and that seemed to get things rolling again. between tapping on the thermostat and running it, everything is back to normal for now, let's hope it stays that way (knock on wood)
