At the dealership i work at theres a 4.2l 98 f150 single cab stepside 4x4 with 135k that they are going to give to me at wholesale auction price. I got a few picts and a couple didnt save some how but here they are how much is a right price for her
probly start out as dd and then as i work more and have money to drive the big truck, than turn into a mini thumper
haven't a clue man, i have never had a 4.2l, guessing not much different than ours, but maybe a little better
Looks solid, but watch those older 4.2's. They had a problem that caused them to lock up. Can't remember off the top of my head what causes it. A little probing on the interwebz and I'm sure you'll find it. Other then that it looks like a solid ass truck.
Somewhere around what a 4.6 gets, maybe a couple of miles better when driven right. It's certainly not what you'd think it would get.
also even though its destroying what the truck was origanly made for ide take all the 4x4 componets. Front diff, cv shafts, front drivesaft, to free up weight for better mpg and reinstall when i make more
