What you need to do is run power from the reverse wire to the lights. Then you need to run power from batt to switch to lights. You will need a resistor in between the reverse and fog power wire. This will keep that switch from back feeding power into the reverse wires.

You dont have to do any of that. You could leave the resistor out so it back fed power and turned the reverse lights and fogs on at the same time.

yeah i was planning on tapping the reverse lights to power the lights and hooking them into a switch so i can turn them on or off. I am starting to become a fan of more and more lights as long as they are tastefully done

I wired mine with a relay, I tapped the factory reverse light wire in the kick panel and ran it to the relay, then powered the relay from the battery and ran 1 wire back to the lights... so they come on when I put it in reverse but they don't draw from the thin factory wiring... mine are 100w lights... you could also run a switch with this setup and use a diode, I chose not to cuz I don't really hook anything up at night...
