I've been driving a Lincoln Town Car while I'm getting my transmission issue worked out and it has the electrochromatic (auto-dimming) rear view mirror. I really like it and noticed my dad's FX4 has it also, and my XLT has an empty fuse slot for one.

Any idea on how hard it would be to get one and wire it in like stock?

shouldn't be hard at all. at most you will have to undo the A-pillars to gain access to under the headliner. run the wire down the passenger a-pillar and i bet it taps right into the back of the fuse box from there. ford's great about pre-wiring the trucks. hell, i got the 4x4 pigtail on the back side of my coin slot lol. might as well add some cab lights since you'll have the liner out too :waytogo:

www.rockauto.com has the electrical connector for the mirror for $37, but not the mirror itself.

Dang, ya'll were on this. $10 is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be, bidded! Since my truck is going to be in the shop for the transmission I'm going to try and catch up on the rest of my projects too. Wire up my mirrors, install KC's, niteshade the tails, now install this and get some cab lights :waytogo:
