well while in between running calls today at the station i went ahead and tinted the tail lights of my SCAB Trooper. I did 1 coat using the Rustolem brand. and they came out with a gloss finish.

Looks great! A little too dark for me and the only reason I say that is I don't want to be rear ended by someone.

i wasn't wanting them that dark either thats why i only did 1 coat. but i am also getting LED bulbs in the morning so that should brighten it back up. And I will be doing the third brake light when i get extra time.

Those LED's will help out for sure.

I like them dark like that, but I've just heard too many horror stories about the people getting rear ended and ending up being held at fault because their taillights were too dark.

My buddy got rear ended and had his tails tinted and the lady who hit him tried saying she couldnt see the lights but the witnesses clearly saw them. As long as you can see them during the day your all good.

Awesome job! :waytogo: I did mine with the vht product but didn't go too dark cuz I don't want any negative attention since my truck is 11" over the height limit here
