Ya, the colour is definitely one of my favourite combos. I think I'm just going to be going with 33s. Then I won't have to worry about any rubbing issues at all.

Ya, that's why I'm waiting to install the shocks before I decide whether or not to pull the trigger on the AAL. I can get it for 74 dollars from a local store. So if I decide I want it, it'll be quick to pick it up and install it.

Just ordered a set of 5k (pure white) Hi/Low heads + fogs from Jon_To. I've dealt with him before and he is fantastic to deal with, and very quick on shipping out items. I'm pretty excited for them to arrive so I can install them!! Hopefully they get here in time for my next days off so I can get them in then :D

Well, time for an update. I installed my rear shocks today. Unfortunately, I won't be able to install the front because I don't have the necessary tools. So Hopefully tomorrow or the day after I can get the front put in and have it all leveled :waytogo: The whole process took me about a half an hour to take the shocks off, and put new ones on. To make it easier on myself I took off the tires and put the truck on jackstands. It could easily be done without them. But I didn't feel crawling around under my truck as snow was falling off it. ha ha. But here are the pictures of them put on (i had a brain fart and didn't take any with the tire off... duurrrr)

Got the 5100's installed on the front today!! Unfortunately however, my $250 installation turned into a $1200 installation... After the shop got the struts mounted and were about to attempt an alignment, they found that the driver side upper/lower and the lower passenger side ball joints were completely shot. So needless to say I decided to have them go ahead and change them all. But, $1200 later and it feels like I have a completely new truck. I can't believe how much the ride has changed, braking has improved, and even steering is more crisp!! Most definitely worth it. However that may have eaten into my wheel fund slightly. Key words are "may have." We'll have to see how I feel in a week or two/if I can find some I like. ha ha. And they don't seem to have lifted the front of my truck much at all.. I'm not sure if the shop moved the snap ring, or what went on. But I'll take some pictures later and see what you all think.

So, I've been running over the idea of getting a 4" lift for my truck... I found the Rancho kit for 1600, which seems like a pretty good price. But I also know that with a lift kit comes a lot of other expenses. Tires are already paid for (christmas present, my parents rock!!), and I'm already planning on wheels so those are two that I'm not as worried about. But the key thing that I'm not too sure about is re-gearing. Because if I lift it I'm going 35's, but I don't want to deal with the power loss. And I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure re-gearing is about 1000 or more. Then if I decide to get a shop to install the lift that would be another 500 (at least, I actually have no idea), so my 1600 lift turns into a 3000+ lift... So I'm kind of torn on what to do. It's not that I don't have the money, but I'm cheap. And I like saving money. ha ha. But at the same time I really really really want to lift it.

I know I kind of rambled there, and I know you're all going to say to go ahead and lift it, but I just kind of want to get some opinions on the whole re-gearing/installation/anything basically. Most likely I'm going to not get the lift, but any input is definitely appreciated.

im actually gonna say dont lift it unless your pockets are deep. your truck becomes a money pit when you lift it. lift, gears, tires, tuner etc.if its a daily then i say hell no dont lift it. you will spend the rest of your trucks life working on it.
