How to compress my sig?

So i made a sig for myself but when i compress it down to fit the 600x200 it needs to be its still like 40kb. When i get it under the 19kb the final result is like 267x200kb pic that's super tiny. How do you guys get your sigs so big and can still upload them?

When you make the sig do you need to make it more rectangular when you start or what? Cause mine is pretty square ha

 

maybe so i usually have no problem making them work. maybe i can get tabs to fix it she is real good with sigs.
