Used to. Still do an occasional race but ride more just for fun these days and get in a little more trail riding and DJ than pure DH. Thinking it's time to pick up a moto this spring.
No real trick. Just set them in like the pic. It works most securely with downhill bikes that have a dual crown that limits the front wheel turn but I use it for all my bikes without issue. They might move around a little on bumps but we've never had one fall out even with a ton of bikes over bumpy forest service roads.
Thanks. The Dakine pad is for hauling bikes without scratching the bike or truck. It works great for that, but I don't use it for much else. When I do use it I actually have part of a moving blanket underneath to keep the pad from scuffing the paint. [IMG]
