12 valves (94-98) get 20-ish from what I read. 1998.5 they went to the 24 valve and the injection pumps went out all the time. $1000 repair each...
Just get a 12 valve and be done with. :lol: or get a 24 valve, p pump it, get a 2005 SD, twin Turbo, and swap it in. That second one is my plan.
