Drain, pull caliper, pull center pin, remove retainer and axle, replace seal, and put er back together... I think that'd be better than u-bolts,...
He's replacing a rear wheel bearing and seal... not a pinion bearing n seal

Yea its a pretty easy job to replace a rear axle seal, just sucks cuz ya gotta drain the diff

Yeah you gotta really go through everything... I put a 2.5" kit in my sisters 06 and she loves it! Says it rides and handles better

The axle should be fine unless you were driving on a bad bearing for a month
the bearing may have went bad and chewed up the axle, but that'd be a long time grinding... at least I hope that's what he's saying haha
