yeah if you have a big computer handset a shop has you could look at the voltage readings off of it and see if its jumping from high to slow...
just cuz its not running bad doesnt mean the cat is not bad it could easily be bad enough to trip the code but not bad enough to cause any driving...
if its an o2 id just buy a dummy o2 off of a racing site that makes its own code to make the computer run right then your cat problem is also...

no the tires sensors are always active, they just go into sleep mode after not moving for like 1 min or somthing like that so it will not reset...
