Yup. I made a video of my s10 yesterday with under hood shots. It sound like a diesel because the injectors are loud. In person it's very quiet.
I know it doesnt have a vac leak but that's what it sounds like. I bet you would hear the blower better if the hood was closed

Just go off the cargo lights in the third brake light. They come on when u turn the interior lights on
