Sounds like frpp cams is what you want. Won't lose much torque and gain horse power. Won't lose any torque and gain more power with a custom tune...

Frpp, thumper stage 1 are both stock friendly. You gain maybe 20-30 rwhp plus a cool sound. But I'm going with frpp cams. Mustang guys use them...
