They had a problem in early 04's to(diff head design).... before you ever change them just put some penitrating oil down in there over night....
That and the tourqe specs were wrong from the factory.....

You can change them yourself with some patience...F150's are great long lasting trucks. :welcome:

Get under the truck and push up and down back and forth to see if there is any slack. If there's any at all change them. Your stock u joints won't...
