I originally was planning to make the kit for a custom built 28" light. The 30" would have some wasted light blocked by the bumper. After inspecting behind the grill areas I decided I did not want to block the air flow completely with the light. The area behind the lower grill funnels all of the air into the radiator and the trans cooler. I tow some pretty heavy loads a few times a month and in the summer travel to areas that get very hot 116+.

I havent had any issues with heat, even while towing. but I do understand what you are saying. and I have no issues with any light being blocked.
