yea sure you CAN do it, im just sayin i wouldnt do it. plus after 45 your gonna have enough momentum to make it through just about anything anyways.
you could pull a 16ft jon boat out fine with your lawn mower hahahaa i was thinkin bigger, like heavy ass bass boats or ski boats, or maybe someone not as good with the gas pedal as you haha
what about when the roads are sloppy from snow and other stuff like that bottom line in 4 high you can go what ever speed you want to
if the roads are sloppy from snow and other stuff you shouldnt go over 45 anyways but im not tellin you how to drive your truck. im just sayin me inparticular, wont go over 45 in 4x4. i have no reason to.
1. So if i was in 2wd and got stuck in the sand, would i use 4L to crawl out to a safe spot? 2. If i was purposely going mudding, would i go ahead and set it in 4H since mud gets a little slippery and i may have to pedal to the metal ? 3. What gear should i be in with both situations to switch to 4wd?
1) yes. That is the right choice 2) yes again. Mud is plenty slippery and you want all those tires pulling you through. 3) you have to be in Neutral to engage 4lo, 4hi can be engaged up to 55mph, but I recommend doing it under 10mph. Or better yet, when stopped.
