Well looks like the mudflaps gotta stay on for a little longer. Since they cover a little of the bottom of the rear quarter panels there is a kind of residue line that wont come off. I'm going to talk to a Guy that does detailing and see if he can buff it out. If he can I will take them off. Cause on the back of the mudflap it is ribboted onto a bracket. WTF?!? I might end up breaking it trying to get it off. But, another thought. My truck is 12 years old with original paint. It does have some fading on the passenger side. Maybe I will just have the whole truck painted after I get my new hood in. Yeah.... that's what I'm gonna do..
Take a utility knife and trim the mud flap way down till there's nearly nothing hanging down. It will look alot better.
Actually I dont think they will work. They are those aftermarket ones. I think they are molded ABS plastic or something. They probably wont look good cut like that. I will just wait until I see if I can buff that line out. I just hope I don't hit a speed bump taller then 4".... or do I???
Yeah I might take em off tomorrow. There will be a hole in the bottom of the quarter panel where the push tab is. Its not big though. I don't know who in the hell designed these things. The way they have aluminium ribbots and push tabs going into the actual quarterpanel is just stupid.
Yeah I know. If you look at Bigun's truck it's the same way. I'd go to Autozone or whatever and get some of those black push pins they sell and put on the hole.
