Tie Rod End Removal & Installation Inner To Remove: 1) Safely raise and support the vehicle. 2) Remove tire and wheel assembly. 3) Mark a reference point from the tie rod end to the wheel spindle tie rod adjusting sleeve. Remove or disconnect the following: Inner tie-rod cotter pin and castellated nut Tie-rod end using special tool (211-003 or equivalent) Tie-rod end by loosening the toe set jam nut, and count and record rotations. Inner tie-rod cotter pin and castellated nut To Install: 1) Install or connect the following: Tie-rod end Inner tie-rod cotter pin and castellated nut (Torque to 56-75 ft lbs) Tire and wheel assembly Lower the vehicle. Check and adjust wheel alignment.
