I had discussed that with the dealer, they told me since i was trading my car for it i would have to go ahead and give them my car and the truck would be on order and could take up to 12 weeks to get it. Im just not to sure about that.... kinda crazy. I understand where they are coming from because anything can happen to the car like it getting wrecked but dang .. 12 weeks and me go ahead and give them my car? Sooo im not to sure about that lol.

I'm sure you could work out something where you sign the paperwork giving them the car, but you get to hold on to it until your truck gets in. Say you have to have a means of transportation or something and can't go 3 months without it. And you have insurance if it gets wrecked anyways.

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
tell them if they take your car for 12 wks, you want the incentives put back into it. tell them you want the X-plan pricing for turning the car in 3 months early, and that w/ the difference you will be able to get a rental until the new truck comes in, but all the while you'll just drive your current SD. I guarantee someone will do that for ya. and DONT talk to any sales person. Call the Internet Manager. :waytogo:

C'mon guys, they aren't going to let her keep the car for almost 3 months. It's a liability in their eyes. Any number of things could happen within that 12 weeks and they would be ass out on their car. I'd go as far as saying if it wasn't 12 weeks they'd possibly supply a loaner, but the time period is too long. That's a tough one. Another option would be to possibly rent a cheap car for 12 weeks. All in all, sounds like a pain in the ass any way you slice it.

Yes it is, thats why i havent done it. I understand why they want the car but i just dont trust them and thats a long time to wait! Id rather just find one and go trade so i can bring it home then. Ive been so busy the past few weeks i havent even looked for another one. Its no rush.. its not a have to thing its a i want thing lol. So when i find one i can go get right then ill probably consider it. I dont want to wait for 3 months... alot can happen!

I don't blame you. Waiting 3 months without a vehicle is just too much trouble.

There's not a truck made I'd wait 3 months for. Keep what you got IT'S PAID FOR! Buying new cars and trucks is the worst money investment in the world. I've done it several times and learned my lesson. Buy them used after they depreciate.
