Has anyone done a 4wd conversion on a 2003 F150 supercrew? I was thinking about doing dana 60s and the t case with manual shift. Reason I wanted to do dana 60s is becuase later on I might to a diesel conversion. I know it's always cheaper to go buy what I want but, I like the idea of standing out in a crowd. Parts list (dana 60 front & rear differential, front drive shaft, t case) should the rear be posi traced?
sounds like you want to do a SAS( solid axle swap) google that and youll get loads of stuff about doing it!
I'm on the fence of converting to 4wd or just trading up as well. I want a diesel too, but I know I dont want to do a diesel AND 4wd swap. my biggest issue is runnin all the vac lines since my truck is already wired for 4wd-on-the-fly
Lets just say it's easier said then done. It requires a LOT of custom fab. and alot of the green stuff too
yup, axles, t-case, shafts, coilovers, 4link and panhard bar i think, steering stuff... straps and bumpstops and your done.
