Okay. Yall can talk shat if you want to. But this is just one o those things that ive gotten into my head and i cant get it out. With a 2wd 01. What would be all the necessary components needed to do a 4wd conversion. I aint gunna be drivin it down the road jus huntin out of it. I wanna do a straight front axel. So obviously ima need a new front end and rear end. But thats pretty much as far
As ive gotten with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Idk if the 01 trans has a removable rear bell but you'd need a transfer case. Front an rear diffs. You could get 90s super duty stuff an swap the axles an stuff

Yea it's gonna be hours of welding and cutting. Also gotta make sure you know what your doing so you don't end up driving an turn it into a two wheeler

Well I understand ima need money. And this will be like every other big mod out there take it one step at a time. Welding and cutting not a big deal at all since it what i do for a living. And as far as knowing what im doing i have a buddy whose aloooot more mechanically inclined than i am. Just figured id get some opinions off here too.

And when i get all the 90s super duty "stuff" what would that include?

i'm sure you've heard this before and would hate to hear it again but it would be MUCH cheaper to trade your truck in for a 4x4 1fifty or even a 2fifty so you have your solid axle

True that but even then it'd be MUCH easier to SAS on a 4x4 truck versus a 2wd, then you don't have to buy the tranny(if different) t-case(manual t case Id hope), driveshafts etc
