4x4 dont work

    my 97 f150 goes into 4 wheel drive and 4 low but seems like its not engaging the front end? any ideas what it could be

    Possible vacuum leak or selenoid burnt out

    well it was working and i heard a clunk and then no front wheel drive
    so its gotta be somthing in the front end i just dont know what

    sounds like the hubs got destroyed

    are they even hubs on these front ends? im really starting to hate ifs

    im going to let someone with a 97-03 answer for you, but i believe the hubs are built into the spindle themselves.

    hmm i think it has the do with the front differential before the cv shafts cuz all that's in the spindle is the wheel bearings and hub no lockout hub or anything

    that could be a possibility, take off the front diff cover or pull the center chunk out and see whats going on

    yeah i guess i will have to its just to cold to work on anything right now
