At the end of last winter, while the 4 x 4 was locked in, while turning I heard a "SNAP" and the 4x4 quit working. sound came from the right front. There is nothing visible broken, IE: u-joints, axle etc. :wtf:

Is there any internal shear pins that mak of snapped? Anyone have some ideas on what to check?

maybe broken inside the hub at the lock in for the hub?
Aren't those F150 transfer cases chain driven like the one on my F250?
Maybe it's broken inside the transfer case?

More info about your truck (year, model, etc) would help us better to help you.

What year? The 04-08s are vacuum actuated, you might have blown a line.
