I started a thread like this on another forum and got good feedback so I figured u would bring it over here.

I always see new/ old members asking about cheap mods that are easy to do and functional. I figured why not have everybody post there MUST have mod's under $150.
I will say that my list of five inclued:
    1) interior dome and map led replacement lights, and cargo led replacement lights, around 50 bucks depending on truck style
    2) nite shade head/ tails/ fogs, and 3rd brake light
    3) Gotts mod, makes exhaust deeper, helps engine breath, 15 bucks or less
4)Bed lights from Z4Products.com, lights up bed of truck with a automatic switch on gate, 55 bucks
    5) Weathertech floor mats, real close to the 150 buck but covers the floor extreamly well, made with a tall lip to trap dirt, mud, and liquids from the carpet.

Now I ask, what are your 5 Must have mod's under $150 a mod?

^I liek those. i need to do all LEDs in my interior and exterior...

niteshading is good and really cheap.
Ive seen a lot of people's steering wheel going to crap so a good cover can look cool and yet functional in saving your wheel
I know for the 97-03 crowd you can pick up some L or HD heads and corners for about 120 shipped
a nice set of HIDs will cost ya about 120-130, mine cost 170 cuz theyre bi-xenon and are 55w with a lifetime warranty...
for those with XL mirrors I dont think upgrading to nicer ones with the turn signals and a colored cap are too expensive....except for the supercrew ones..theyre super expensive
painting the bumpers is easy and cheap, so is painting wheels...
window tinting is cheap. I got my front ones done on FREE tint tuesday...but i got a quote of 50-80 bux for the front ones
leveling kits are cheap, install them yourself for the cost of no labor...except for "beverages"

well i know this is over $150, but TIRES are my number one, dont have to be big but good tread will get you thru alot

other than that i would say,

    1. Stereo, out with cassettes in with the mp3
    2. tool box
    3. reverse lights
    4. new muffler, cost more if custom exhaust is bent
    5. good floor mats

    2. Replace Door Speakers
    3. CAI
    4. Tint Tail lights
    5. Misc. junk for truck...

I don't want to jack your thread, but I chuckle all of the time about us adding aftermarket floormats. We get the fancy trucks that have carpet and then cover the carpet with rubber. :D

A long time ago, I was a more sensible man and would purchase trucks that had the rubber floor instead of carpet so I wouldn't have to worry about them.

I buy the clear ones. That way you can still see the factory floor mats underneath it.

No chit, if I were looking to build a truck I planned on taking in through mud often I'd either find one with rubber floors or I'd replace the carpet with the rubber mat kit. My dad has an 89 Cheby Scottsdale that has rubber mats and flooring. Things a snap to clean! :jester:
