6x8 vs 6.5 speakers..

    I'm lookin to buy some new door speakers since a few of my stockers are already blown.. now I read Tylers write up on adding 6.5 to the doors so which ones are better 6x8s or 6.5s..

    I'm kinda on a tight budget so I'm looking to stay less than $50 a pair..
    Right now im lookin at 2 sets of kicker DS65 or kicker DS68.. but I'm open to other sugestions..

    Nope no amp.. just a aftermarket pioneer headunit which is only like 50watts a channel... honestly I wouldn't even buy any but the 2 in the back are blown so I need some and if I'm gonna replace the back ones I might aswell do the front too..

    6.5s. Round speakers have a better sound than oval ones.

    Had I not just spent so much on Christmas I might be willing to spend more but its kinda tight right now..

    Like 1 to 2 years ago we put the kick DS68s in my grandpas truck and they sound fine to me so I don't really see a point in spending anymore since I'm not putting a amp on em anyway..

    I was just curious whether the 6.5s would be worth the extra work compared to the 6x8s
