    Hi everyone,

My work truck, V10, keeps spitting out spark plugs like they are rotten fruit. Cylinder #7 is the main problem. Has anyone found a cheap solution to ths besides pulling heads and have them reworked or buying a new set? If new, which set? It has been tapped 3 times already, last time didn't last a full week, which we then realized there needs to be a better solution. This truck has about 250k on it with a decent trans so we were hoping to save it but don't want to spend 3k or more on a new engine.

    Thanks for your help

You should use a timesert kit. Helicoils still have problems

I believe both tapping and inserts have been done. I assume last thing is pulling the heads and see how bad things are.

Yeah I think it's time to pull the heads.

Thanks, was afraid of that. Anyone have recommendations on new replacements. I am expecting worst case scenario, just to be prepared.

    Thanks
