here's my '99 escort ZX2, 5spd 2.0L DOHC, 180K miles, picked it up last summer for a gas getter not bad for $850, and got 4 snow tires on rims, it already had alot of high mileage maintenance done, timing belt, and alot more, i put a new catback exhuast on and cooling fan, shifter is super sloppy, has a good door ding in the fender and a small rust spot, but it gets 30 MPG! haha
not bad, thats why i park my truck sometimes and drive christys cavalier, 30mpg ftw!!! not bad man, escorts are fun cars to drive, rip the e-brake ftw!!
yea i like it, only problem is i'm 6'5" and i'm starting to get tired of crawling in and out of it, i'm either gonna drive it into the ground or maybe look for an ext cab 4cyl, 5 spd ranger
i wont be fixing this one, its gotta pretty good lifter tick, and makes some goofy noises sometimes, but still runs great, probly gonna drive it till it craps out parts all over the road then part it out
