    You can do that ^

or buy the headlight switch from a truck with fog lights... you may need to add a fuse or relay, but at least you'll have a factory switch

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
if the 97-03 are set up like the 04-08, then adding fog lights to a non-foglight truck is pretty simple. when i bought my truck, i had no fogs, but now i have factory fogs working off the factory knob. heres what you need to do:

buy a factory light switch w/ the fog option in the knob. unplug your old one and plug in that one. next you'll need to find out what fuse the fog should be in your fuse box. you'll run the "power" side from the lights to this spot on the backside of the fuse box (the back side is where the wires are secured). add the correct fuse to that spot and everything should work as if it was from the factory.

Ford isnt dumb. they make one main harness that has 98% of the accessories on it. the most things that are hard to add are entertainment video oem factory style and factory backup cams. thats just a lot of wiring to add for those 2 things.

if you end up not running them through the factory system, you will need a relay system w/ a led toggle switch. if you arent sure how to wire that up, i have a nice neat diagram. just let me know. :waytogo:
