hey, ive been calling around for gear install prices and these shops say that i need to change my carrier with my new gears. is this true? the carrier is the limited slip right?

why wouldnt my stock LS work with my new 4.88's

    thanks.

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
i think they might be referring to the Ring, and that it might be too small to handle the 4.88. I have never owned a 97-03 but w/ this bump, maybe West or Big'un will chime in as to what size can be handled on the stock LS.

well i just got off the phone with kevin at accurate auto and he said that it doesnt need a new one.

its weird how some shops say different things than others.

i really wish i would have done this gear swap in virginia!! :emotions122:

ive been quoted 800-1200 just for install, that doesnt include the price of gears! michigan is rediculous for prices.

tater, i dont doubt he knows what hes doing. just stating what ive been told by several shops.
