Aluminum Driveshaft

    Does anybody on here currently running a aluminum driveshaft on there 67-72 F100? If so what kind of problems are you having with it, if any?

    why not run a stock dshaft?

    I dont have a driveshaft period for my 67f100. I need one for a 76 C6 auto trans. and 67 F100 8ft bed.

    most 2wds have c4 transmissions .... i dont see what it would hurt runnin a aluminum dshaft , i bet there high priced tho

    This was originally was 3spd column shift and 352 engine but changing it over to automatic with 390 also. The PO sold the 352 before he gave the truck to me.

    I wonder if a driveshaft from a crown vic, mustang, or f150 would work...there all aluminum.

    I was told I could use a stock driveshaft up to the 79 F series truck.

    You couldn't put the ends you need on the aluminum shaft? I know length is an issue but if its too long, it can be shortened.

    as long as its a c6 & a 9" rearend it shud work ..... 67-bout 86
