what you will have to do is cut the ends off the fenders and weld the front of the 86s onto the 96s so you keep the body lines on the 96 matching other than that its all bolt on
the body lines should all match up, the front fender will just have a different groove in the flare than the rear does, i like the idea but i'm looking at around $500+ to do it with all new sheet metal and trying to find a donor clip with out any major rot will be a chore
yeah, it would bolt up, like evan pointed out the groove around the wheel wells would look funny since your rear would be flared out and the front grooved in. You find a good donor make sure its a LWB and just pull the bed off it too, and everything will match up. I would suggest the 87+ taillights though, they look alot better.
fresh new fenders are $100 a piece for both years and living in the rust belt, donor parts are hard to come by just realized i forgot the headlights and markers buying from lmc right fender - $100 left fender - $100 hood - $150 ebay L and R headlight bezel - $45 headlights - $40 turn signals - $40 fender markers - $20 grill - $70 so about $565 plus shipping or the other option is 3" fiberglass fenders for $300 a pair, but that probably wouldn't look to good w/o a lift and tires, but they wouldn't rust lol
som' b*tch, the price keeps going up, ok maybe it won't quite be worth it, good idea though, lets put it this way, if the front end ever gets wrecked i'll let the insurance company pay for it lol
