yeah i agree, i see just as many gmc's on the road as chevys. but they are different sub-companies but i'm sure gmc's alone don't sell as much as F-150's

GMC alone does not and Chevy alone does not. So thats not an issue. I guess I (as well as many others) don't see them as separate and different trucks. Its the same truck with a different badge and different grille design (and Im sure other small differences but none of which make it its own truck aside from the Chevy). I guess I would expect them to be two fundamentally trucks to be able to be considered separate. I certainly do consider the Lincoln Mark LT to be an F150.

GMC actually competes against Chevrolet in it's own way. At one point in time Pontiac was Chevrolet's biggest competitor. Sure, they're blanketed under GM, but when it comes to sells, they're separate.

That said, it takes two trucks to stay competitive against one F-150? Oh well, if that's what it takes for GM to compete, so be it. :birgits_tiredcoffee

Makes sense if they are actually competing....its just weird to me that being the case that they are not more different in design.

I agree, but the Camaro's biggest competitor use to be the Firebird. GMC was once considered the nicer then a Chevy truck. Now they're pretty evenly matched.
