So what would be the best way for me to set it up? Tie the two together, a red top and a yellow top, or put in a isolator and run most of my added stuff off the yellow top? J.Wal
I'd run the factory stuff and efans off the Red Top, and everything else off the Yellow. Make it less likely to leave you stranded. Sent from my Igloo
That's what I was thinking that way the alt will charge both batteries but all the extras will come off the yellow top. J.Wal
lmao. i was thinkin bout this on the way into work, cuz i want to put a power inverter, full 110, in the back for the kid when we go to chicago and thought, hmmm, keep 1 battery for "as-is" and the secondary for all my add-ons, and tie em together. damn you guys are smart.
Hopefully someone will draw up a diagram and find a " isolator" I have no idea what all I will need other than a yellow top and a battery tray. Lol J.Wal
I got all this work planned out for my truck, I just haven't done it yet. I am going to go with a red top and yellow top mounted pretty much the way the expo that will posted is. I am going to put an isolator in most likely the one from painless wiring. I am also going to replace my ash tray with a switch panel most likely one with 8 switches. Behind that panel will be that fuse box from autozone. So I will have one wire from the yellow top to the new fusebox feeding the switches, then out to the lights that I will be adding on later.
