I have a mono channel 1000w kenwood that went into protect mode anyone know what causes this or how to fix it yourself? Sent from my piece of shat.
If it doesn't have a burnt smell in it check the ground wire for a good connection. Clean the connections. The main power cable fuse connection. Clean the contact areas. Fuse connection at the amp itself. No shorts from the head unit to the amp via the RCA connectors. Disconnect the RCA's and repower the amp if it comes on and if it "self protects" after the RCA's are reconnected this is the problem. Check to speaker ohm load is not going below 2 ohms. Disconnect the power for a few minutes and reconnect after all other wiring has been checked.
Well alllll of that went over my head hahaha. Im not very technically inclined when it comes to this kinda stuff... Sent from my piece of shat.
