you will need a relay. The general Bosch 30A relay is fine

Amazon.com: Scosche RLYBSCH Bosch Relay 30 Amp: Car Electronics

here is the digram look at circuit 2

    Relay 101

use your orginal line that powered the grill light place that on pin 85, pin 86 goes to ground.

Take a wire from your battery place a 20A fuse on the line and put it on pin 30.

Then take pin 87 and run that to your lights.

Here is why we use a relay

Circuit 2 - A proper circuit with a relay and fuse.

    - The switch is only switching the relay. It draws a very small current which is good for the switch and whatever power source has been used.
    - There will be little or no voltage loss using a relay. A light burns brighter and lasts longer when supplied with proper voltage.
    - All the high current is kept between the battery and lights and is properly protected by a fuse.

Yup just got done around 8:25 tonight and they look the same. I'm pissed I paid the extra $30 for the "brighter CCFL HALOS", and I'm curious, and considering wether or not to call the company and make sure they sent me the right ones...
