haha I know that feeling. Its amazing how much the ride quality has improved in some of the newer vehicles.
Ha ha yeah. I feel every tiny bump in the road. Speed bumps are stop bumps instead ha ha. The jeep will ride a little stiffer since I'm putting the heavy duty springs on it. They're crd rated for towing. But the old man emu set ups are suppose to be a super smooth ride. Researching this lift was the first I've heard of OME but everyone says they're main focus is ride quality over everything else. I don't know a whole lot about jeeps, but a lot of people seem to really like that lift. That's the one I always see people talking about on forums. I hear you on the truck suspension, we have a 99 f250 crewcab and you just about half to crawl over the speed bumps. You can feel the whole truck shaking as you go over them. haha
Picked up these crossbars for $30 on amazon (thanks FFS gift card!). Should do well in seeing if I like having a Thule pod or a safari basket. My buddy is lending me his Thule pod for our trip to Utah so we will see if it fits what we want or not.
