Alright I know that plenty of people do this and honestly I dont really like it but the paint on the bottom of my rockers is peeling badly and I want to do something about it. Money is a bit tight so I cant really afford to have it Line-X'd so I need to do it myself. Would it be easier to use a roll-on application or a spray-on application? Or does anyone else have other ideas rather than bed liner?
i did rustoleum rattle can bed liner on my old truck, didn't even prep it. Did about 4 solid coats and it held up pretty well with pressure washing and such.
i think I rolled mine one when I replaced my driver side rocker. I want to say its rustoleum just like everyone else. holding up pretty good. I did put a layer or two of por-15 over top of it too.
I used duplicolor and it works great. But whatever you choose, just prep the surface really well so that the bedliner will stick hard and last longer.
I had a truck that I just sold that had Rhino Lining on the rockers and door bottoms, it was ok, but was starting to peel on the doors. It was already done when I bought the truck, otherwise I would have spent a little more for Line-x.
