benefits of an x-pipe?

    so what are the advantages of having an x-pipe?

    i'm not chasing horsepower just want a good quality loud sound, so is it worth me putting one in or not, will it change the sound any?

    If you can score one for a decent price I'd say go for it. I wouldn't go out of my way to install one if not...

    Yea, I had jba headers, high flow cats, x-pipe, and dual in dual out magnaflow. You'll get more horse power cause it evens out the flow of the exhaust. Had this on my 04 with a 4.6. ;)

    well im deleting both cats and the front cat is dual in single out so im just gonna cut it off and run duals from there to the mufflers

    X pipe creates a scavenging effect so it pulls the exhaust from the motor and in turn makes horsepower

    I say throw some headers on it and just leave em open... :jester:

    its not that i dont want more power but its not exactly a hot rod and im not wantin to dump a ton of money in it, but i wanna be heard without sounding like an a**hole either if you know what i mean
