Blacking out my headlights and tail lights

    So who has all done it themselves?I am thinking of doing it.Getting tired of the stock housing color.I read thru the "How to" but want real info on how you felt doing it.Maybe you were nervous but they still came out good,Maybe they didn't come out that good,That type of thing.

    I will admit,i am kind of nervous in doing it myself.Don't want to screw it up as there my only set of headlights,lol.So any hints that you all can pass along would be great.Thanks guys

    do not NiteShade your headlamps. The light output is severly decreased. I wasn't nervous one bit. I mean, come on man, you drilled holes in your roof but your skerred to paint your tails?? The niteshade will come off w/ thinner anyways so you cant mess them up permanently. just follow the how-to, and stop @ 2 coats. if after a week you think you want them darker, and 1 more coat. MAN UP!

    I was actually thinking of doing this but going with HID's or brighter bulbs afterwards

    sorry or the thread jack backwoods but my question s along the same lines....does anyone know if it is possible to paint the inside of my head lights like it is with the newer trucks?

    Not unless you get some kind of a aftermarket plastic light that can be split into...

    damn...might as well just get the black housing headlights and turn signals anyways then....I was looking to save a little money and black them out myself :(

    Yeah not untill 04 and up could the factory lights be split (that I'm aware of ) sorry....
