Here is my latest oil report from Blackstone Labs.

7500mi change intervals with 5w-20 Royal Purple and K&N Filter.
I think the high amounts of Al and Fe are due to excessive cold starts during the winter and longer idling times.

It's so I can extend my oil changes and for peace of mind. Most dealers try to get you to change at 3000mi, maybe 5000 with full synthetic. Getting this test done is allowing me to go to 8000mi. Saves me time and money in the long run.

So what is the mileage at the universal average that they are measuring against?

The universal average is all the reports they have done on Ford 5.4 3v V8s. But they also stress that those are only guidelines and that each engine is different, which is why it's important to have several tests done so you can establish a baseline for your individual truck.

Nice dude. I had them run a report on the 08 Escape, I still got to do the F150, probably after the move.
