Bought 2010 F250 KR 6.4 powerstroke. Mpg question.

Just bought a 2010 king ranch f250. I love the damn thing but I am very ignorant to diesel trucks or just trucks in general. I am very excited to start adding parts and makin it my own. First thing I wanna do is get my Mpg up. What should I do first for that? Cold air, flowmaster, chip?

Exhaust, tune, dpf delete are where I would start

 

A lot of people also run egr delete on diesels but I'm not sure what they do. You might look into that too.

Egr delete, tuner, and exhaust. Best bang for your buck is probably gonna be a tuner though, egr and dpf ( idk if 6.4s have this) are nice and if you want a sweet noise then go with exhaust

 

Yeah i'm pretty sure 6.4's have the dpf's, make sure you get a custom tune if you cut out dpf's.

 

6.4s were the first powerstrokes with a dpf
Check into H&S performance and try to get your hands on a used mini maxx, xrt pro etc.
Make sure you find a race version as the new ones don't allow you to delete the emissions system
They are expensive but you will see the most gains as far as performance/efficiency over any other modification

 

Agreed h&s is the way to go. Not cheap but worth it. I believe they did a 6.4 build not too Long ago too
