So my truck has been driving funny for a while. Back in April we hit up Saint Lois Pass in Galveston, i did some stupid driving, and almost flipped the truck. but no damage... so i thought. Today when i left work, i gunned it to get out in a spot to make the light. its a nice drop over the driveway to the street level, and i had to make a left. think the bounce and turn pulled the shock out. I think the boot on the bottom of the shaft was broke back in april, just never came undone til now. Pic is below. 4wp cant get me the part til Tues (usually good next day but Dallas was out). I'm orderin through rockauto.com since they are in stock. hopin to get it by friday. my question: is it safe to drive on that as is, or should i atleast put the shaft back in, since its just about loosing the top and reattaching? FML...
