Lookin at building a bumper for my 01 ex. cab anyone build anything?? just want to get ideas and see whats out there.
I know this is bringing up an old thread, but depends on what you are wanting out of it. Want something that can pretty much plow down (small) trees on the trails or help save your life in a head on collision? Then go with a 1/4" (or around there) thickness plate bumper that mounts to your frame, maybe add a winch, some tow hooks, and/or lights? But if you want something that exposes your front end a little more and in my opinion makes the truck look a little taller since there is less bumper covering the tires, then go with a tubed prerunner style bumper with a small stinger/grill guard maybe? The possibilities are endless!
