I have the gotts right now and still waiting to see if anyone will ever dyno test it to see if it is affective
Just got done with the gotts mod while ago but havent drove the truck to be able to say yea or nea but just the simple fact that your goin from a 2" intake hole to a 3" should definatly help. Like said above its bout the same as cai just w/o a fancy cone filter. gotts plus a k&n filter to replace the factory one should have the same affect as a cai in my opinion. And for $8 bucks in parts I'd say its money well spent.....you can always upgrade to a cai later, its not like its not reversable.
The CAI that I had at one time was debatable that it did anything other than sound like a monstrous 4 barrel when you romped on it. Having a washable filter was about the best thing about that one (K&N).
Troyer did a dyno.a while back I think. It come in 2nd to the af1 cai. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Gotts mod. F the Cai, my K&N sucked. It caused way too much drone and it seemed like I lost a ton of power, even with custom tunes.
Cant remember the web site where they put 2 identical trucks. Both had a Edge Evo and the same stock tunes and both were put on level 2. One truck has a gots mod and one truck had a Specter CAI.Both were dynoed and at the end.Neither one out did the other.Only thing was the CAI was louder.I will do some searching for the web site where the results were posted. Now yes the CAI looks awesome and fits in better for looks and gives the truck Little more throaty sound. But for $250 or more, not worth it.The gots mod, ugly, doesn't add anymore sound. But well worth the $5-$10 and does the same thing as CAI. In my opinion also since i have had both.No noticeable difference at all between the 2.
