hey y'all I want to get a CB and I've looked at all the antenna set ups and I would have gotten a whip but it's not gona work out the way i want it to because of my rod holders, and I don't think the double fiberglass antennas would look good on my truck. I saw a chevy the other day with a single fiberglass antenna mounted in the middle of his toolbox where you would normally mount a whip and I thought that would look good. what do y'all think? would a single fiberglass antenna do the job?

If you do go with center of the tool box, make sure to run a tool box to chassis ground wire. Those J bolts that attach the box to the bed are sometimes a source of poor ground which will cause high SWR's.

it'll work as long as its long enough. Why don't you want a whip mounted there?
