I know 2 guys have mentioned it and you've already said no, but i really think the two 3 ft. fiberglass antennas would look killer on your truck. I did the 1 in the middle where my whip was mounted one time and it just looked weird. i'm confused though, if you can fit a fiberglass in the middle, why not a whip?

it's going between the rod holders and I don't want it to move around, a whip would hit the rod holders and if I had rods in the whip would hit all the rods and I don't want to have to take off the whip every time I put in rods (which is a lot) fiberglass doesn't whip around. I'm gona try single and if I don't like it, I'll switch to double

you'll understand when I get it mounted

AHH gottya. Just wasn't visualizing it earlier, but yea that makes sense. Are you gonna put a spring on the antenna?

Good deal. I didn't use to run springs on mine and after snapping 2 in half by tree limbs, i've had springs ever since

yeah that's exactly why I want to do springs, we have way too many low hanging oak branches in Mobile

I have the single Wilson 5000 on mine. I like it and it takes the tree branches well...

that's a pretty cool idea. I think I'm gona go with a single 4-5' antenna and mount it on my toolbox, I won't be needing to get reception from far away because I'm just looking for something I can talk to my friends with while riding through the woods and down the highway. we tend to run in "convoys" lol
