I recently got a free uniden pc68xl CB for free and i need to know how to hook it up. my cobra 19 has the power and ground wires already coming out of the CB but this one didn't come with a power cord. It's a 3 prong power plug(below) and i dont know which one is which power ,ground , ???. what's the 3rd prong for? I could order the power plug but dont feel like waiting 4 days for it to get here so i figured i'd try to hard wire it. any ideas??

You can buy a harness for that. I bought mine at a little electronics store in Victoria.

You could try testing with a multimeter too

the prong on the left when looking at the back of it is +12V from your battery the Right prong is ground. The center prong is your + trigger wire like for your radio so that it only powers when your ignition is on.

The one here is chock full of electronic geeks. They usually know exactly what you need. If not, then try a truck stop. Most big truck stops have most of your CB needs, repairs etc. :peace:

Yeah a truck stop would definitely have one. I'm sure there's one in Waco

yeah theres one off 35 in Waco but i wont be up there for two weeks. and i went to radioshack and two other electronics stores with no luck. looks like i'll have to order it.

where would i hook up the center prong to? i planned on running the power into a fuse inside so i won't need the glass fuse.
