The MAF sensor is one if the most overlooked things when people do "tune ups". The spray bottle is like $10 but it's handy to have and last for years. Only a few sprays will clean up the most filthy MAF sensors. Word to the wise, BE CAREFUL when handling that fugger, it's a tiny hair thin wire that can easily be broken and it's like a $120 part if I remember right.

    The MAFS before removal.
EDIT: Apparently you need those stupid ****ing safety Torx to remove this, so this won't be getting cleaned until I pick some up tomorrow. Damnit I hate saftey Torx! Most useless annoying things ever.

Forgot to mention that my CEL shut itself off earlier today, dunno why. Got the IAC cleaned up though and cleared the codes, went for a spin and all is good. I still have the P1000 though, for whatever reason.

Pre-Cleaning. Very dirty. Just sprayed the MAF cleaner in the holes.

looks good. I think you need to drive awhile while the computer relearns itself, to get rid of the P1000 code

Yea this happened when my truck threw lean codes the other day and I cleared them. After 3 drives it was
Gone. Nothing to worry about. Looks much better btw! I take it you still have to clean you MAF?
